Q) How much experience do you have in the detailing business?

 

Before opening Arlington Auto Detailing in 1999, I owned Stripe-Rite which provided auto dealership services since 1983.

 

 

Q) How long do I need to leave my car?

 

Depending on the service and the size of the vehicle, 2-8 hours.

 

 

Q) Do you have a place where I can stay and wait?

 

My shop is small without a customer lounge, but it's a short walk to Belmont Center.

 

 

Q) Are you near the T?

 

Yes, there's a bus stop across the street that will take you to Arlington Center and another that takes you to the red line.*

 

 

 

Q) What forms of payment do you accept?

 

Cash, check,  Visa, or Mastercard. 

 

 

Q) Can you remove scratches?

 

In some cases, scratches can be buffed out, but it really depends on the severity. So, I'm happy to take a look at the car and give you an honest evaluation.

 

 

Q) Do I need to empty out my car?

 

I clean everything in your car: glovebox, cup holders, console, map pockets, so it is best to remove things you don't want thrown out. This could be done before you drop off your car or when you come in for your appointment.

 

 

Q) Can you remove odors like mildew, cigarette smell, etc.?

 

In most cases, but I cannot guarantee. For example, wet carpets could be an ongoing leak problem which would come back after it rains. The carpet could be saturated on the underside and would need to be replaced after the soulce of the leak is found. A one-time "left my sunroof open" would be curable.

 

 

Q) What type of buffing is done in the total package?

 

I use a premium one-step operation that lasts for months and removes small scratches. If a spot needs compound, I will do it, but to compound the whole car is an extra charge.
